Why "Mamba Mentality" gave him a Dad Bod
|
Information is everywhere. You can read the books, memorize the macros, and know exactly how to train. But if simply having the information was enough, you wouldn't be staring at the ceiling at 2:00 AM with a racing mind, paying the ultimate Exhaustion Tax. Take my client Tito, for example. Tito is a former collegiate soccer player, a Jiu-Jitsu competitor, and a military veteran. He knows fitness, cardiovascular endurance, and hard work. But then life changed. Baby number two arrived, he started a Master's program, and the demands of his career skyrocketed. Tito tried to push through using "Mamba Mentality." He told himself he could just rip the band-aid off and power through the chaos. Instead, his world turned upside down. He gained a "Dad Bod" he didn't even realize he had, and his energy tanked. It required a massive ego check. He had to look in the mirror, acknowledge he was stuck, and ask for help. When Tito came to me, he expected me to prescribe punishing two-a-day workouts and restrictive water-cut diets. Instead, I told him to do three things:
With his military background of rushing through meals, telling him to slow down and count his chews sounded insane. Telling a former athlete to track 8,000 steps instead of crushing a CrossFit workout felt completely backward. But we didn't need to add more stress to his already redlined biological alarm system. We needed to rebuild his physical foundation so he could actually survive a high-pressure boardroom without crashing at 3:00 PM. The result? Tito dropped the stubborn weight, his pants are literally falling off (he forgot his belt the other day), and he completely shed the "Dad Bod." But more importantly, he created a new normal. He stopped being a "Ghost Parent" who only gave his kids the leftover scraps of his energy. His fitness is no longer an isolated chore that takes him away from his family; it's an evening walk together. It's modeling healthy behavior for his kids. Watch Tito explain the "Ego Check" and his transformation in his own words: Having the map is great. But having someone engineer a bulletproof daily system for your body changes everything. If you're tired of relying on willpower and ready to finally stop putting yourself last, I'm working on something effective for you. I'm celebrating my 17th business anniversary, and I'm doing something I've never done before to help you completely eliminate your end-of-year stress.
PS: My favorite part of Tito's story is around the [4:10] mark where he's shocked with what I told him to do first. You can watch his full "Ego Check" video right here. [LINK TO VIDEO] |
